@tuxcrafting just wondering what is he_IL? Which language is that? Also isn't eo Esperanto?
@tuxcrafting
Ah, I know some words In Esperanto, I tried to learn it before the pandemic, but I stopped, as I had more important things to focus on.
@tuxcrafting @izarella not really, maybe to a European, but in places like asia, it might be more difficult or the same, as Esperanto is mostly European in nature, but I'm not exactly sure and I'm basing this off of stuff I barely remember so I could be wrong.
@izarella @tuxcrafting it's appeal imo is that it's a man made language, not naturally made, and it's the biggest one.
@tuxcrafting ah ok. Are you interested in conlangs? Toki Pona imo seems like an interesting one, it only has 120~ words.
@tuxcrafting I'm currently attempting to make my own. Have you ever tried to make your own conlang?
@tuxcrafting I have been using conworkshop to work on mine. Currently it only has 5 words I think. It's called Komaneoa, I thought of the suffix system for it while listening to an anime intro.
@tuxcrafting for example Koman is the base word, it means person/human then you choose from 5 or 6
The 5 suffixes are
-e = if it relates to you the speaker
-o = if it relates to the 2nd person
-a = if it relates to a third person
-eo = speaker and 2nd person
-oa = 2nd person and third person
And -eoa which may refer to everyone, but I'm not sure.
Also the antonym is usually the reverse of the normal word, for example namok would mean like unhuman/monster.
@tuxcrafting
The suffixs would also tell who's object it is. I don't have words for alot of things yet so I will just use English with a question mark afterwards.
That? Is? Komane Chair?-e
I think the object would also take the suffix of the owner of said object.
@tuxcrafting I'm also planning to use an infix, for past tense, Kaen the word for run in past tense is Kayen or Karen, I have not settled on which letter to use as the infix.
@tuxcrafting what do you think of this system?
@tuxcrafting what about the 6th potential suffix, referring to everyone/everything?
@tuxcrafting
-e is 'me' refers to the speaker
-o is 'you' refers to the person being spoken to.
-a 'them' refers to someone not in the conversation.
-eoa is 'everyone' refers to literally everyone. (Not sure if I want to add it in)
Hopefully this explains it to you
Let me put it in a sentence in the language of course with the same English +? For most words as I don't have them yet.
This is for possession
This? is? chair?-a .
This is their chair.
Chair?-e is? Red? .
My chair is red.
Chair?-o is? green? ?
Is your chair green?
House?-eo is? Red? .
Our house is red.
This is for talking about people.
Komame cold? .
I am cold.
Are? Komano cold? ?
Are you cold?
Are? Komama cold? ?
Are they cold.
@tuxcrafting and -eo and -oa are just combinations of them
